  hi I just joined, this is nice game with good graphics do you just play against each other like simple dethmatch or is there also a coop mod server ?

  Welcome There are 2 main game modes. Instant Action and Power Struggle. IA is a form of usual death match and in PS, which usualy takes place on a larger map, you have to take objectives etc. Then there´s also Team Instant Action, simply just 2 teams fighting on a standard IA scale map. There is no Coop game mode. I´v heard about something like it made in the past but it was pretty imperfect and noone runs it here.

  Well technicaly, NPCs from singleplayer can appear on maps but they´re not active. they don´t move. You can kill them but that´s like all. Also i just remember that Youda and some other guy (don´t remember who exactly now, Hip maybe ? :)) were working on a gamemode on Mesa with active aliens (they could kill you, you could kill them), though my knowledge isn´t very extensive in this matter, since im more of an IA person.
