Hello,
Having recently installed Crysis 1 (through Origin Access) and the SafeWriting client form crysis1.com, I am not able to connect to Mesa2.4 servers - the map downloads fine but halfway through the map loading screen I get an error asking me to put a disc in drive D (I don't even have a drive D nor an optical drive). Built-in maps look fine so it's not an issue with the DRM.
In the map's "level.pak" there is a fileinfo.xml or levelinfo.xml (can't remember right now, will reboot into Windows and check if needed) that refers to the path of the map files. Built-in maps use relative paths to the game's folder, so paths are like "Game/Levels/Multiplayer/PS/Mesa". In the Mesa2.4 this path is absolute and uses "D:/Crysis Installs/Crysis1/...".
Would anyone be able to get in touch with the map maker and resolve this? I tried fixing it myself on my copy of the game however it seems like the game compares my map with the server's and disconnects with "Map version differs from server", so there's nothing I can do myself and until the map maker fixes I can't play (unless I add another hard drive and replicate the D:/Crysis Installs/... file path).
Regards.
