Haha. Yes of course man. Should be in tutorials since 2014. But I'm sure many people figured it out long ago anyway.
For example I've been using this way since 2011 (when I started to mess with folders and files of Crysis, modding easiest things there inside) ...
... and I can't imagine watching all those "videos" and animations, pressing "escape" every time I was starting the game . Especially between 2011 and 2015 - when in my case - game was being started on my PC at least 10 times every day. Sometimes even 30 or 40 times (no joke) when I was testing or debugging mods or maps - Would be annoying as hell (close editor, run the game, close the game, back to editor, Close the editor, launch the game and so on - for hours back in the days :)
To tell you the truth - I've even forgotten for last 7 years that those videos are there in default version of the game. Maybe that's why I never thought about suggesting that in tutorials (?)
But you're 100% right.
And I think that it should be something nice to mention in "tutorials" on this website here. I'm going to put it there probably soon. But still - today probably nobody is launching Crysis more than once a day - so it's not so useful as it was few years ago :)
I would just recommend leaveing "Crytek.sfd" on - because of obvious reasons - they deserve a least that logo before the game. Besides this animation is short enough and fits pretty well :)
So I think it's a good tip for those who are starting the game often even nowadays - thanks for reminding !
