Running SSM CryFire on CryMP master server

Hey guys, I've been trying to get a server running SSM Cryfire to properly work with the CryMP master server but no luck. CryFire claims to support CryMP but I wonder if the master server address is outdated since it was changed to m.crymp.net. Could also be I'm just missing some config to enable it. Tried finding the relevant address strings in Cryfire's DLL but not much luck. Has anyone had experience with this setup? I'd like to try out Cryfire and compare it to Safewriting which worked just fine with CryMP out of the box.

Now that I noticed, I'm also getting the following message on server startup: [CryFire lua] DLL mod not loaded, using emergency lua replacement for fully operational mod please leave this crap version and install patch!! Assuming the above message is related to the game version and not Cryfire itself (I'm on Cryfire 2.1, latest I could find), it seems like it's not very compatible with my GOG Crysis in the first place? I wonder what kind of a check it does.

You are most likely using Crysis 1.1.1.5767 and that's fine for SafeWriting, but not for CryFire. CryFire's DLL only works on 6156. After all, 5756 is dead anyway and nobody plays it, so updating the game is a good idea. Here is link for patches: https://crysis.nullptr.one/, you can skip 1_1.exe, just install 1_2.exe and then 1_2_1.exe in that order.

Slayer of 1.0 claims 1.0 is dead. RIP Circle Jump.

I am not slayer of 1.0, after all CryMP client still works there and also SSM. Slayer of 1.0 for multiplayer is GermanCrysis, who spread their propaganda full of lies everywhere and their patch automatically patched the game to 1.2.1, but also platforms like Steam, who don't give any choice to players, but to play the latest game version. So no wonder majority of players use 1.2.1 nowadays :D

Thanks for the reply Zi, but the GOG game version already is 1.1.66156, I should have mentioned that in the OP. Seems like I'll be using SafeWriting.

You need to install this https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=29 to make CryFire work.

And yes, GoG version is already patched to the latest version. Just like Steam and Origin versions, but the GoG version is the best so far.

By the way, CryFire also doesn't automatically change GameSpy master server address from "gamespy.com" to "m.crymp.net", so your server won't be visible on the in-game server list. To fix that you can either make gamespy.com to point to m.crymp.net using the "hosts" file, or edit directly CryNetwork DLL. Although editing CryNetwork DLL is pretty dirty way, it's usually the preferred way because you should avoid messing with system files unless there's no other way. Here's how to edit CryNetwork DLL: 1) Make a backup of the original Bin32/CryNetwork.dll 2) Open Bin32/CryNetwork.dll in Notepad++ 3) Press Ctrl + F and go to Replace tab 4) Type gamespy.com to "Find what" and m.crymp.net to "Replace with" 5) Click on Replace All 6) Save the file Now you should make sure that file check is disabled on your server (sv_cheatProtection in server.cfg must be zero) to prevent the server from kicking all players. If you still want file check to be enabled, then you need to edit Scripts/Network/Protect.xml file inside CryFire.pak and exclude Bin32/CryNetwork.dll to prevent file check from checking the file.
