Trying out the beta client. First: Why do I need to login AND press play? I mean what's the use? secu worked fine and I just want to launch the game fast. Second: I get dll error when trying to launch the game using beta launcher, or even just launching the exe directly from folder. So I'm back on old client. Hope you can fix

It's now much easier to log-in into your CryMP profile. There's no need to use the secu_login console command and manually put it into autoexec.cfg, which is something many people struggle with. About the error, it means the client is not inside Crysis directory. Can you send a screenshot of the folder where the client is stored in?

Comrade, Here is screenshot. I just tried the 32-bit instead of the default 64-bit, and 32-bit works fine, so I use that for now. Game loads etc. seems faster now ;) Should I work on getting the 64-bit version working? I dunno, you tell me. The beta default shortcut on desktop is to 64-bit which doesn't work.. so that's a problem My crysis folder: https://i.imgur.com/JzLvb7E.png" target="_blank">https://i.imgur.com/JzLvb7E.png" style="max-width: 100% cursor: pointer;">

So 32-bit version works. Steam ships Crysis without Bin64, so that might be the reason why 64-bit version doesn't work. Can you also send a screenshot of the Bin64 directory?

    It just has game.exe

Here we go. 64-bit DLLs don't exist at all, so that's why 64-bit version of the beta client doesn't work. We should improve the new installer/launcher to detect this and disable 64-bit version. Anyway, here are the original 64-bit files if you want to have both versions working: https://crysis.nullptr.one/Crysis_6156_Bin64.zip And thanks for the bug report :)

After putting the Bin64 files, I ran client installer again. And 64-bit version now works :) I don't know what the benefits of 64-bit version is though. better multicore performance?

Crysis doesn't utilize the advantages of 64-bit code much. The performance is mostly the same as in 32-bit version. One noticeable difference is that 64-bit version can use more than 3 GB of RAM, which is useful for some high resolution textures mods.

Since I started using beta client, my game crashes to desktop once in a while. Could be the shit server (!HotSpot Alien Invasion) or just game, dunno. I will see if it continues
